For structural members on large hole-making equipment, Controlled Automation offers three styles of conveyors and/or transfer systems based on the load capacity required.
Controlled Automation conveyor systems are electrically powered and range in 300lb, 500lb, 800lb and 1,000lb per foot sections.
Drag-Style transfer systems provide easy operation for members up to 500lb per foot and are ideal for transferring members off or on to roller conveyors using a pull system for one direction of travel. (*not for tube members)
Air-Lift Buggy transfer systems are the most versatile and provide on or off of conveyors of all sizes depending on the model of Air-Lift Buggy. Air-Lift Buggy systems use no hydraulics and are electrically powered. They are ideal in situations of transferring across multiple lines of conveyors and when needing to transfer across datum lines and in both directions on and off.
Chain-arm transfers are used for some of the heaviest members and can be fully automated. They can be utilized similar to that of the Drag-Style conveyors, but with capacity to move tube structures. The Chain-arm systems are ideal for loading and unloading material from one side of a conveyor line and can tranfer on and off.
